ABILITY @List Days, CEA

Last week, at CEA, we had an event called List Days welcoming about 500 industrials to learn about our projects and innovation at the List research institute and foster collaboration. We had the chance to have a booth to present the ABILITY project and the haptic tablet.

We had very interesting discussions about the accessibility of ATMs for instance or payment terminals and good contacts to follow up upon. The accessibility of touchscreens is definitely an important topic, to industrials as well.

The tablet has now travelled to Grenoble to the ongoing Leti days (another research institute of CEA), to the colleagues who worked on creating the thin patch of actuators attached to the screen to enable the localised and multitouch vibrations.

In parallel, we are designing interactions and feedback for some use cases on the tablet, including a mathematical bar chart, that we hope we'll find volunteers to test soon. Don't hesitate to contact us if you're interested.
